Just wanted to say that I feel for you. I am in a very similar situation, drowing in debt and medical bills. The pressure is overwhelming. I will remember you and your family in my prayers.

I am a single mom that is really struggling right now. I have never received regular child support but I would get a check whenever the ex had a court date. I do have a full time job and I have always managed to stay above water until recently. Nine months ago my ex husband was arrested on a child support warrant. He served 6 months for that. While he was there he was charged with another more serious crime. He is currently being held without bail until trial. It is very likely that he will be gone for many many years. That means no support checks from him even sporadically. I have two sons. My oldest son deals with mental illness. He has a severe anxiety disorder and also has been recently diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. He has not been dealing well since his dad went to jail. He has been hospitalized twice since November. He is now home but cannot attend school due to his depression so the teacher comes ot us at the library. He sees a psychiatrist once a month and a therapist once a week. The medical bills are climbing. I made the mistake of trying to pay some of the medical bills with credit cards which only make things worse. I have applied for SSI for my son and am still waiting for that decision. So now I find myself here with my checking account in the negative and no gas in my car and not enough food to get through the week. I can't make my house payment for the first time ever. I am seriously considering bankruptcy because I just don't know what else to do. My house needs a lot of repairs and I cannot afford any of them.

All of this is getting to me. I find it harder and harder to get up and go to work everyday knowing that I just can't get ahead. I feel tired all the time. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
